CCDoTT Program Review (CPR)

East Coast Conference

June 14, 2006

The CCDoTT Program Review was held on June 14, 2006 at the Hall of States Building in Washington, D.C. Attended by 50 participants, the conference involved a presentation by the principals of CCDoTT projects underway with university and commercial research partners.

The Program Review was specifically targeted to allow government and military interests to have feedback on the current FY05 CCDoTT projects. Special invitations were extended to members of the Agile Port/High Speed Sealift Action Officers Group. Additional invitations were extended to marine related technical organizations and designated government and industry offices.

The conference opened with remarks on the overall CCDoTT program by Stan Wheatley and Steven Hinds, followed by presentations by the project teams. CCDoTT Advisory Committee members were also in attendance to provide input and assist with any questions.

We were especially honored to have Mr. Jon Kaskin of Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (N-42) in attendance. He gave a brief report from the US Navy’s perspective and asked for input on what the Navy can do to help shape the U.S. commercial shipping industry. He expressed his support for the CCDoTT program which leads the way in these efforts.

Our thanks go out to the staff of California State University Office of Federal Relations in Washington, DC who helped to make this event happen.
