Since CCDoTT’s work is in the DOD category of 6.3 - 6.4 Applied Research, the project results are considered precursors to marketable products.
To that end, the goal of the CCDoTT program is not just to perform academic research but to validate a technology through prototype tests and demonstrations in preparation for handoff to the commercial or military end user.
